Overview

Here at Aquastream, we have changed thousands of Billi filters and over the last 10 years we've perfected our technique.
In this DIY Guide, we'll show you the best method for replacing your Billi filter.
This guide suits all Billi Quadra units including the Quadra 420, Quadra 440, Quadra 460, Quadra 4100, Quadra Plus 5, Quadra Plus 9, and Quadra Plus 15 models.
Do you have a Billi Eco, Billi Alpine or Billi Sahara water tap?  Check out our DIY filter change video specifically for these units.

Please note that your Billi will let you know when your filter needs replacing with an orange light on the tap.

Steps

  • Unclip the front cover of the under-bench system and slide your cloth/towel under the filter to cover the leak sensor.
  • In your cupboard, find your cold water supply tap and turn it off. Once this is done, press the cold water lever on your Billi tap to relieve the pressure.
  • Swing your Billi Quadra filter towards you and then pull down to remove it.
  • Take your new filter and remove the black sanitary cap then use your permanent marker to write the date on the filter so you know when it was changed.
  • Push the new filter up into the filter head on an angle, with the label facing towards you, and then swing it back into place. Your Billi will recognise the new filter and begin a flush cycle.
  • Slowly turn back on the cold water supply so that the chiller tank can refill.
  • Check that the orange light on the tap is now off. Clean up any spills using your cloth/towel, and then replace the front cover.
