Service requirements for this system include periodic replacement of the Reverse Osmosis Membrane every 1-3 years depending on water quality.

 

Note: If you are replacing your existing membrane with a larger or smaller output membrane, you will need to replace the capilliary Flow Restrictor to suit your new membrane.

 

How an RO membrane works:

The spiral membrane is constructed from one or more membrane envelopes wound around a central collector tube. The pure water (permeate) passes through the membrane in the envelopes spirals inwards to the collector tube and is diverted to the storage tank.

The wastewater (concentrate or brine) carries all the impurities in the water and is discharged to drain
