The Aquastream Fluoride Removal Filter Candle suits all standard size gravity water filters with hole diameters of 12.5mm to 20mm.
This filter features a ceramic, micro-porous outer shell combined with a patented core technology – made from high quality NSF certified (ANSI 61) coconut shell based granular activated carbon and other proprietary adsorbent medias.
Protect yourself from fluoride (sometimes misspelt as flouride), chlorine, chloramines, lead, mercury, arsenic and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
This candle has a relatively slow flow rate at 1 litre filtered per hour, which is part of the reason this single candle can remove so many contaminants. The slow flow rate ensures the purified water has a long contact-time with the adsorbent filter media resulting in exceptionally pure water. Unlike reverse osmosis systems, this method of filtration retains the naturally occuring minerals in your water.
When flow becomes slow, scrub the outer shell of the filter candle for additional filter life.
