This pack includes:

- Pre-Installed Fittings

The sediment filter goes in the first stage, and the carbon filter goes in the second stage of your system (closest to the tap).
The first stage sediment filter is constructed from polyspun polypropylene media to form a high-capacity sediment filter for reduction of dirt, sand, rust and algae. The second stage filter is a high capacity activated carbon block filter, which features a sediment prefiltration layer for maximum filter life. The radial design of the filter is designed for longer carbon contact time with the water, improving contaminant removal so you can be confident you're drinking exceptionally pure water!
This filter kit is designed for mains water supplies. If your drinking water system is supplied by tank water, you will need special cartridges: A Puratap carbon filter in the first stage and a Puratap Nano filter in the second stage. Aquastream does not currently have a replacement filter kit for the tank/rainwater systems so you will need to contact Puratap on 133 502.
How long should my filters last?
This filter set is designed to last up to 12 months depending on the water quality. Sometimes if you have particularly harsh water such as for Puratap filters in Adelaide or Perth, you may notice that the taste returns sooner than that as these locations are known to have high levels of chemical disinfectants in the mains water, and sometimes elevated levels of dirt, sand and rust. If you notice the taste return, this means the carbon has absorbed the maximum capacity of contaminants it can, and so it's time to replace your filters.
