Aquastream MXT Soft+ Foodservice Water Softener

Aquastream MXT Soft+ Water Softener Cartridges are used to remove Total Hardness from water supplies and are ideal for use in food service applications to protect steam ovens and coffee machines from scale buildup.

This large format 15" Cartridge uses Ion-Exchange Technology to adsorb calcium and magnesium hardness from the water and is commonly known as a Water Softener cartridge.

This cartridge has a capacity to remove 34,200 mg of Hardness from the water supply.

How do I calculate the Softening Capacity of this cartridge?

To calculate the estimated supply of soft water produced by this cartridge, have your water tested for "Total Hardness" which is shown as a figure of milligrams per litre (mg/L). Simply divide 34,200 by your tested hardness.  For example, if the water supply is tested to have 100 mg/L of hardness, 34,200 divided by 100 mg/L = 342 Litres of Soft Water
