The Aquastream BLOC.1 Whole Home Water Protection System has just launched (July 2025) bringing to the market a simple, compact and effective whole home water filtration system that incorporates powerful 3-stage filtration into a single module.
Bringing BLOC.1 to the table has not been easy.... but we made it!
SEDIMENT . CHEMICALS . SCALE
BLOC.1 uses multistage filtration process which provides the core treatment required to address the most important contaminants in mains water supplies - Sediment, Chemicals and Scale.
Step 1 - High Capacity Sediment (dirt hold capacity up to 1kg), 20 Micron Prefilter
Australian mains water is carefully monitored for compliance with the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG) ensuring that the water is free from bacteria and within the safe health levels for heavy metals and other elements.
Our challenge is that treated water flows through vast networks of pipe before getting to our homes, often decades old, picking up unknown dirt, rust and sediments when delivered to our taps.
SEDIMENT & DIRT CONTAMINANTS [STEP 1]
Sediments? What harm could there be in dirt? If you are lucky enough (or unlucky) to have the opportunity of looking inside a large mains water pipe, you would be impressed by the ugly buildup of scale and rust on the pipe walls.
This buildup forms over the years, mainly due to a combination of minerals and water treatment chemicals in the water, forming a thick, porous layer on the pipe walls.
The fact is that we don't really know what's down there. What we do know is that water filters catch an awful lot of dirt and sediments. We also know that it never a good idea to be drinking and cooking with unfiltered water!
CHEMICAL CONTAMINANTS [STEP 2]
Protection from chemical contaminants is possibly the main reason you are here. We agree.
While chlorine is undeniably very important to ensure our water is free from harmful bacteria, there is simply NO REASON for us to expose ourselves to these chemicals inside the home.
BLOC.1 effectively removes up to 95% of chlorine from your water supply as well as disinfection by-products such as THM's (Trihalomethanes) which are found in all chlorinated water supplies.
SCALE CONTAMINANTS [STEP 3]
If you live in a location with hard water, you will certainly know about it. That's why we have included Scale Protection at the core of this system.
While hard water is not harmful to the body, there are many benefits you can experience including softer skin, improved hair quality as well as reducing the amount of detergents required for washing in your home.
From a home maintenance standpoint, Scale Treatment protects pipework, tapware, glassware and hot water systems from mineral scale damage, preventing the buildup of white scale deposits on glass and chrome surfaces and significantly increasing the life of hot water systems.
BLOC.1 Scale Treatment effectively neutralises the ability of mineral scale to attach to surfaces while keeping the benefits of healthy minerals in your water supply. Unlike a traditional water softener, ScaleBloc. does not remove calcium and magnesium, ensuring your water remains 'balanced' and does not require power or salt to work.
