Office Water Taps - Boiling / Chilled / Sparkling

There are plenty of reasons why many workplaces, hospitals, healthcare, and education facilities are making the switch to an office tap that provides instant hot water, chilled water, and sparkling water for the office staff and visitors. A hot water tap for your office provides:

• Access to boiling water whenever it is needed for hot beverages or cooking food (such as packet soups or noodles).
• Because it is fixed to the sink with no electrical cord near the water, a commercial instant hot water tap is generally safer to use than an electric kettle.
• Many people also find the taste of hot water from an Aquastream office tap tastes better, which is what you would hope for when you are using hot water for your lunch.

A chilled office water tap provides:

• Access to ice cold water, and this is ideal for avoiding dehydration on a hot day.
• Chilled water cools you down faster which helps the human body to recover after working out or any high intensity activities. Cold water has also shown to help people burn more calories.
• If you need to feel more awake, reach for chilled water instead of caffeine. Chilled water on the face and skin has shown to assist with alertness, wakefulness and concentration, without any negative side effects.
• By having a constant supply of chilled water available, there is no need to regularly fill up water bottles and refrigerate them. This leaves communal fridges with less clutter and more space.
• Chilled water on tap will help staff to get their six to eight glasses of water a day.
• Other types of office water coolers dispense water from a large bottle dropped into a dispenser. These can take up space (the dispenser itself and the spare water bottles), the bottles can be incredibly heavy to lift (WHS), when the water does run out and you replace the bottle it can take a little while to cool down again, and the plastic waste that comes from having to go through multiple plastic bottles is not good for the environment.

A sparkling water dispenser in the office provides:

• Water is by far the healthiest drink, and by adding fruit like lemon, cucumber, or mint to sparkling water, staff and guests are less likely to reach for sugary drinks.

Aquastream taps are fairly straightforward to install and installation won’t take very long at all. However, we do recommend that you call a licensed plumber to do any installation of a chilled, sparkling and/or hot water tap for your office, this way it will be done right the first time.

Filters for office water taps should be replaced roughly every 4 to 6 months. You can spot if they need to be replaced if the water tastes wrong, smells bad, or is discoloured or cloudy; the water is coming out at a reduced rate; or the system is making strange noises. It is relatively easy to change an under sink filter yourself and you should be able to find instructions on how to do that online. Or, give your plumber a call and they may be able to give you some helpful advice.
