How to Install the Black Lever on a Drinking Water Tap

In this video, one of our technicians shows how to install the black plastic lever on a drinking water tap. This step-by-step guide applies to Aquacooler drinking fountains, under-sink filter systems, and most taps that use a black plastic lever. If the lever seems to be broken, sometimes it is because the lever isn't installed correctly - follow this video guide to double check. 

Aquacooler units are always supplied new without the spout assembled to prevent damage during transit. However, the black lever may sometimes come loose, so it's important to re-assemble it correctly to ensure the tap works as intended.

Materials

• Replacement Black Plastic Tap Lever (if your existing one is broken)

• If you have a new black lever tap, remove the piece of plastic tubing from the spout hole in the base of the tap.

• Ensure the black lever is installed with the metal cross-bar positioned crossways (at a right angle) to the lever.

• Push the spout into the base of the tap.

• Press the lever down a few times to make sure it’s secure and doesn’t come loose.
