Works for Aquastream, Billi, Zip and most standard disposable cylinders.
If you've just connected a new CO2 cylinder and nothing's coming out, the good news is there's usually a quick fix, and the cylinder is almost always full.
What's happening is the valve on top sometimes gets a little stuck if it hasn't been pressed for some time, so no gas releases when you attach the regulator. A few firm presses on the valve will free it.
Steps:
- Put the white rubber cap back on top of the valve. Keep it on the whole time.
- Grab something blunt. A closed pair of scissors works well.
- Press straight down on the valve through the cap. Sometimes it takes quite a few presses before the gas releases.
- You'll hear a short hiss of gas releasing.
- Attach your regulator as normal, and you'll have sparkling water in no time.
