Overview

This instructional video will work for the Aquastream MXT Filter. If you have an Aquastream Quick-Change Filter, please see our How To video on how to change your Aquastream Quick-Change Filter instead.

Additionally, new filters can dispense tiny bubbles in the water for a day after the changeover. These are completely normal, and the bubbles will disappear within a minute.

Please note that you should change your Aquastream MXT Filter every 6-12 months depending on the level of usage.

Steps

  • In your cupboard, find the cold tap water supply and turn it off. Then turn your tap on to relieve pressure, and leave the tap open.
  • Place your cloth or towel under your filter to catch any drips.
  • Unscrew your filter a quarter-turn to the left and then pull down and out of the filter head.
  • With your new filter, remove the blue sanitary cap and use your permanent marker to write the date on the new filter so you know when it was changed.
  • Push your new filter up into the filter head and turn it a quarter-turn to the right until it is locked in.
  • Slowly open your cold water supply tap and allow your system to flush for one minute. Once the system has flushed for a minute, turn your tap off.
